Tip: arrive before 9:00 AM to beat the crowds and enjoy the soft golden light on the amphitheater’s stones.
Inside, take your time — the underground corridors and arches reveal the true scale of ancient Rome’s ingenuity. You can book your ticket online in advance, or take a guided tour if you want to access the arena floor and upper levels. It’s worth it!
🏛️ Roman Forum & Piazza Venezia
After visiting the Colosseum, walk toward the Roman Forum, once the political and social heart of Rome. Even if you just stroll around the ruins, the view is unforgettable. Continue walking until you reach Piazza Venezia, where the imposing Altare della Patria dominates the skyline — it’s a great spot for panoramic photos!
💧 Trevi Fountain
End your first day with something magical — the Fontana di Trevi. Toss a coin over your shoulder (legend says you’ll return to Rome!) and take a moment to just listen to the water.

Start your morning at the Spanish Steps, one of Rome’s most elegant and iconic landmarks. From Piazza di Spagna below, the staircase rises gracefully toward the Trinità dei Monti church — a perfect spot for people-watching, morning coffee, and photos bathed in sunlight.
