Our First Flight with a Baby
Flying with a baby for the first time feels both exciting and terrifying. We remember staring at our luggage, wondering how such a tiny human could need so many things. In this post we share our real experience, what worked, what didn’t, and the tips we wish we had known earlier.Ticket Purchase and What It Includes for Your Baby
Infants under 2 years old don’t pay a full ticket, but there is usually a small fee for their seat. This fee includes the right to bring your stroller — you can keep it until the aircraft door, and it will be returned to you upon landing.You can also bring your baby’s diaper or stroller bag onboard as carry-on luggage, and your baby will travel on your lap during the flight. If you prefer your little one to have their own seat or travel in a car seat secured to the plane seat, you’ll need to purchase a separate ticket for them.Before the Flight – Planning & Packing
- Bring few more as many diapers as you think you’ll need.
- Pack an extra outfit for both the baby and you — trust me, you’ll thank yourself later.
- Choose a flight that matches your baby’s nap schedule, if possible.
At the Airport
We arrived two hours early and asked at check-in for family priority boarding — it saved us time and energy. Security checks were smooth once we kept baby food and liquids ready to show.During the Flight

Primul nostru zbor cu bebelușul
Zborul cu un bebeluș pentru prima dată este o combinație între emoție și stres. Ne-am uitat la bagaje întrebându-ne cum poate avea nevoie un omuleț atât de mic de atâtea lucruri. În acest articol povestim experiența noastră reală – ce a mers, ce nu și ce ne-am fi dorit să știm dinainte.
Achiziția biletelor și ce include pentru copil
Copiii sub 2 ani nu plătesc biletul complet, însă se percepe o mică taxă pentru zbor. În această taxă este inclus dreptul de a lua cu tine căruciorul bebelușului, care se predă la ușa avionului și se recuperează tot acolo, la aterizare. Sau de la sectiunea de bagaje speciale (unde sunt si bagajele de cala) ,in cazul in care coborarea din avion se face prin tunel.
De asemenea, poți urca în avion cu geanta bebelușului (de obicei considerată bagaj de mână) și bebelușul va călători în brațele tale pe durata zborului. Dacă îți dorești ca micuțul să aibă propriul scaun sau să călătorească într-o scoică de mașină fixată pe scaun, trebuie să achiziționezi un bilet separat pentru el.
Înainte de zbor – planificare și bagaj
- Pune cu cateva scutece mai multe decât crezi că vei avea nevoie.
- Pune în bagaj o ținută de rezervă atât pentru bebeluș, cât și pentru tine — crede-mă, îți vei mulțumi mai târziu.
- Alege un zbor care să se potrivească, pe cât posibil, cu programul de somn al bebelușului.
La aeroport
Am ajuns cu 2 ore mai devreme la aeroport și am avut prioritate pentru familie atat la check in-ul bagajulului , cat si la security check . Controlul de securitate a mers ușor deoarece am pregătit lichidele și borcănelele separat.
În timpul zborului
Cel mic a dormit jumătate din zbor, a plâns puțin, apoi a zâmbit tuturor. Nu vă panicați – majoritatea oamenilor sunt mult mai înțelegători decât pare.
Sfaturile noastre reale pentru părinți
- Hrăniți bebelușul la decolare și aterizare
- Ia cu tine păturica bebelușului în avion — îl va ajuta să se simtă mai confortabil și mai liniștit, având un obiect familiar în timpul zborului.
- Păstrează-ți calmul — bebelușii simt energia ta.
- Nu lua extrem de multe jucării; jucăria preferată este suficientă.
Would We Fly Again? Absolutely.
It wasn’t perfect, but it was worth it. Traveling with a baby is different — slower, more unpredictable, but incredibly rewarding. And yes, we’re already planning our next flight!
